Knitty Freak !!

I have been busy lurking at knit picks this morning and have made myself a wish list. I wish I could buy all the fun yarn and needles I want when ever I want, Sounds selfish I know, But a girl can dream.. I am finding that yarn is rather addictive and I have a bad case of the I wanna buy lots of yarn freak going on. I have so many things I want to make and so many people I want to make things for. I want so badly to share this new craft I have discovered thanks to my pal Bethany. I miss your guts girl, I need knitty help. But I have found lots of resources on the webby and have been chatting with a new pal who is in the same boat I am in. I made the suggestion that after Christmas we have a sock knit along as we both have bought the same book. I hope she says yes and we can be of help to each other.. In other news.. The kids and I are going to preform in the bell choir this year at the candlelight service Christmas Eve. We are learning how to play Christmas songs with bells. We are looking forward to it. I am sure it will be a fun experience. The kids have so many things coming up with all that goes along with the holidays and such I might have some time between blogs but do not fret I will be back soon... Hugs to all!!
Until next time!

New Table!!

Today our friends gave us a dining table big enough for all 5 of us, Its been well loved and used over the years.. I cleaned it up, shined the wood, and it looks wonderful in my kitchen. We have talked about getting a table that would fit all of us for some time now. It is a blessing for our family. I cannot wait to sit down as a family for Thanksgiving dinner. We would have been waiting for much longer for one. I love old stuff! However this came at a cost we could afford, It was given to us. This is a wonderful older table made of what looks like maple wood. It has 6 chairs that I got all the old spilled paint off of today and put in their prospective spots. I am planning on making a couple table cloths for it. I might even make some chair pads as well. I am going to write them a Thank You letter and let them know how much we appreciate their kindness. Tomorrow is Sunday and I have a super busy day! I have Sunday School and Worship in the morning, Then I am off to practice music for the Christmas cantata in the afternoon. I have Youth group in the evening and then I will get to come home and be with my Hubby! We are still waiting to hear about the golf course issues and look forward to putting this all behind us. I best be off I have a few things to finish up then I am going to set my clocks back!!
Until Next Time..

PS Knitting Update ! I am finished with one of my knitted bags and have 3 more to make! Hooray I am making progress!

Tagged ny Kristi...

The rules are...A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag seven people to do the same.
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it".

1. I am a grouch in the morning, I am not a morning person I am rather nocturnal.

2. I will not cook any meal in my kitchen if the dishes aren't done and the counters clean. It has to be clean. I'm a bit of a clean freak. Agreed.. Me To.. :) I detest mess and clutter. Makes me nuts.

3. I always have to sleep with a blanket over me...even in the summer when its hot. I feel protected :) Too funny me too.. I must be related to my Kristi.. :)

4. I do not have many close friends, I have major trust issues and I am sometimes very insecure about myself. I try not let people get to close so I cannot be hurt, but I am working on that, I have met some wonderful people at my church and I love that I am learning to love myself albeit slowly.

5. I do lots of Voulenter work in my community and for my Children.

6. I am committed to make a difference in the issues I feel are important and I voice my opinion lots..

7. I talk allot and feel like I have lots to share all the time.

I am tagging anyone who wants to play..

Knitting Update..

I wanted to give a quick knitting update.. I have finished the Soap on a rope for Shawn.. It turned out really cute, If time permits I am going to make one for each of my brother in laws for Christmas.. Also I am working hard on my own pattern for a small bag that will also be a gift. I thought I was going to be able to take the sock class but as it sits right now I am going to be unable to attend. One of my baggers seems to think its funny to take whole weeks off at a time and let me at the very last min. I am kinda upset but what can I do, I am going to have to figure this one out on my own I am afraid. I have to run I am off to work but wanted to give a quick update.
Until Next time..

Time Out !!

Whew, I am taking time out today to blog, I seem to be getting busy as of late catching up on the things I had to miss when I was so sick. I have more laundry than I know what to do with and it really sucks, My poor house was seriously neglected while I was under the weather. The kitchen alone has taken me a full day to return it back to normal, I have to have a clean house it makes me insane to have dust, junk and clutter, or anything really out of its place. I think I may have a cleaning disorder that no in my house has but me. The walls need a good scrubbing and my pantry needs attention as I only work on those every 3 months or so. I made it to the yarn store, I got a wonderful gift card from my Mom to a place called Black Sheep Wool Co, In Salt Lake, What an amazing store, I wanted to buy all the wonderful and expensive yarns but at las I only had 40 dollars and 20 in cash to spend but I got 5 skeins of some yummie yarn, 4 skeins of a silk cotton blend and 1 skien of some sock yarn for a pair of knitted socks for my nephew Benjamin for Christmas.. I also got the needles to make the socks, the ones I have dreaming about for 4 months now.. I am the proud owner of them. I cannot wait to start on the socks. I thought Ben has the smallest feet of anyone I know right now so he gets to be the chosen first for a pair, Start small make sure I can do it and then up ward and on ward. I am still busy putting together my wonderful swap packages for my lucky pal's. I just finished the Tea Swap and I am currently in the Christmas Around the World and Coffee Knitters swap. Halloween is coming and I personally don't know if I want to celebrate Halloween......and I know all 3 of my kids love God with all their heart but Halloween, it sometimes seems evil!!! They just like to have some innocent fun on Halloween night. I personally believe this is something for personal conviction! I am not sure what the out come is going to be this year but I need to continue to pray about it. My church is offering some alternatives this year and that would be to collect candy and play games and fellowship and maybe watch a Christian based movie at the church. My Husband and I think this might be a good thing for all of us this year. we are trying to stay away from things that might contradict the values we are setting in our home. I best be off I have so much to do and very little time as I have to work tonight.. Argggg.
Until Next Time..

Still Under the Weather and it gets worse.

Hi.. So last week I posted that I had an ugly cold beast. I now have what has gone from A cold or so I thought to full pneumonia. I am sick as ever, In fact I must admit that I have never been so sick in all my life. I went to the doc yesterday and had the x ray done he gave me a breathing treatment and some prescriptions for some super expensive medication, Now I have not been able to sleep in days so I am delirious and feel like im on another planet. The doctor is having some more medicine and neutralizer type thing a ma jig delivered to my home to try and help me breathe better and keep me out of the hospital. I have no desire to be in the hospital at all. I am very stubborn and also I know I wont sleep there either so whats the point of me being there. My parents coming to see me. My hubby came home from work and is going to be with me for the next few days. I have my church family bringing me dinner for the next few nights, I think I have lots of people that will be helping me though all this. I have really never been so sick in my life and I hope to feeling better soon. My birds are happily singing to me today, I think they know momma is sick and are trying to help in their own way. I best be getting my butt back in bed. Until next time...

Sick of being sick. !! :(

Hello,
Well I have managed to catch the cold from Hell and I cannot no matter what I do make it go Away. I am going to have to resort to going to the DR. Something I totally detest doing. I Don't like to pay the cost of going its never cheap even with insurance. The co pays then you have co pays for medicine on top of that, Not to mention the cost of not being able to work or even get outta the house. While I am going to complain lets talk about gas prices, That makes things much worse. Yeah that's why I wanna stay in my bed and wish this cold away. I feel like I have a 3000 lb elephant on my chest and a non stop snot machine for a nose. Who knew I could use two whole box of tissues in 5 days. Its disgusting and I am sick of being sick and sick of being tired. This is no fun at all. I do not wish this ugly cold beast on anyone. I guess I have no choices at this point other than see the Doc. So I will have to get back to my blog fest once I am better and not needing a Kleenex every 2.4 seconds or feeling the need to have a coughing fit every 5 like old faithful. Tootles until next time..

Change Of Command.

Good Morning,
As you all know I live on a military base. Yesterday was the change of command. For those you un familiar its where we get a new base commander. Commander Olsen and his wife Heather are on to new adventures in Missouri. I wish them the best of luck. I have had the pleasure over the last few weeks to get to know the new in coming commander and his totally awesome family. I had no idea who they were when I introduced myself to them, I was at church and it was greeting time, I was one of the first people to welcome them to our church and to Dugway. Since then I have talked and made friends with his wife Karla, and became a youth leader out here. I have the chance to get to know 2 of their children and they are great boys. I hope their tour here is amazing we have a great community and lots of talent. I hope that they feel at home here and we all have made them feel welcome. It was neat to watch the cannons and guns go off as the out going hands over control to the incoming. I took a few pictures and I am going to try to figure out how to post them. It is pretty amazing and I am super excited.
until next time..

I want this Christmas to be as amazing as the last one if not better. It id my favorite holiday and O boy do look forward to it each and every year, Unless I am broke then its depressing so starting early ensures I get the perfect items for my perfect people.

WOO HOO !!!

I am so excited I know who my pal is and I cannot wait to spoil you. I even got an e card from my special pal. This is going to be so much fun. I am so looking forward to meting new people and getting goodies from maybe a place I have never been before? I think it being a secret makes it that much more exciting and you never know what your gonna get. I am having a Forest Gump Moment....

On another note my kids made it to school and I so happy for the free time. Its been hard this summer keeping them entertained. We in such a small place with not really a whole lot to do that it really makes it hard to find things that will to appeal to my broad age group of kids. My oldest is 16, Middle is 9, and the youngest is 4. I am currently working on something special for my Hubby, he has been having a hard time at work lately and I want to plan something relaxing and special for him. He is always doing super nice and exciting things for me and I want to pamper him a little bit and let him know how much he means to me. I am getting a special package from him that is coming UPS and I cannot wait to get it. He is so awesome, I have a collection of Ty beanie babies (pluffies) he has been buying for me for the past 2 yrs and I have quite the collection of pets... He always makes it a surprise for me. I get at least 2 a month or every other month depending on our bill situation. I best be off I have a house to clean and lunch to make.
Until next time !!

Lost a little more hearing :(

Greetings I am back to my blogging, Its been awhile since I have had the chance to just chat about life and things and stuff. I had a real crap of a day, Late last night my ear that has been giving me problems the ear drum tore open again, It makes me sad. This has been very painful for me and I am really sick of it.I feel like I should own half of wal greens at this point, I have never taken so many pills in my life untill this little problem started. I am going to have to rest as much as I can and try to get my house cleaned in the AM before I get to tired. They think this might be coming from nerve damage due to my car accident. It would not be so bad if it was not so painful when this happens its hard to sleep and lay down but I am a tough cookie and I will get past this I was just bummed out that this was happening again. :(

Todays Agenda

I think I have had the longest day possiable and its not even close to being over, I still have to go home after my many errands today. I had to take tyler to get a new ID and then take him and brayden to the pool, Go to the bank 3 x today and for diffrent items, Tyler opened up his first bank account today and is very proud of himself, I am proud also. Then take Ty home and then drop him off to work. I have had no time to knit or even clean my house today, Arggggggg. I still have to go home and cook dinner and pick up the house, get the kids ready for bed and tend to our neighbors garden. Whew. I hope the bed time part comes rather quickly... I am very tired. But I am sure that after all the fun settles down today I will work on my knitting and read and call it a day.
Until Next Time..

Another day in Dugway

I am currently working on ordering some yarn from knit picks. The problem I am having is there are so many cute colors and not enough money to buy what my oogs want to see. I have been trying to sign up for a swap and have heard nothing back from the place, I have even emailed them to see if I signed up correctly and no word yet they said I would hear within 7 days but its been about 9 so I am getting worried. I really want to take part in this swap. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can be accepted or I shall look for another one. I am also looking for hemp yarn 2 ply. I want to make own grocrey bags for the store so thats what I am off to do right now.
Until next time..

Blog Blog Blog

Greetings I thought I had done this on my hubbys blackberry but it made me do it again so hopefuly this will be my page from now on. I am just sitting here at my local library in the middle of noplace dugway. I am just leaning how to knit and my teacher is great person and is teching me for basicly free and I feel like I should give her some honorable mention due to the fact that she makes some awesome things and I cant wait to learn to make socks. She makes these awesome socks and has me excited to learn. I am still very bummed out that my friend of 20 years is still not returning my calls I am tring to say I am sorry to her for what ever it I have done to hurt her its been 2 years and I miss her very much and I pray that she can find it her heart to forgive me and we can become friends again. Other than that not much happening today just tinkiering around.
I best be going.. Until next time all.
